January Empties

As much as I absolutely love writing and reading empties post, the process is always a little bit tedious.

I either end up hoarding empty pots and containers, accidentally putting them in recycling before getting a picture, or having to traipse through hundreds of photos for the one I took weeks ago. This month, all three forces were at play.

Against the odds, if you are reading this, we have a complete piece! Hurrah- the procrastination fairy told me that writing a blog post instead of doing uni work is still productive!

You know the drill when it comes to empties posts: I'll ramble about why I like the product, get defensive about lawsuits the company is facing, and do the same next month. Cool? Let's go!

Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel

This product was a mini-size from The ASOS Box of Skincare that I reviewed in December. I really enjoyed using this cleanser, so much so that it look the place of my daily cleanser until I ran out. However, will I be repurchasing the full size for £36? Absolutely I will not. While I enjoyed the luxury feel (and orange-ness?) of the product, it didn't do anything marvelous that my usual cleansers don't do already. Sorry Oskia, maybe when I'm a rich thirty-something I'll come back to you with open arms!

Elemis Revitalise-me Conditioner

I got a few samples of this conditioner and really enjoyed the way it left my hair feeling. Would I fork out? No I wouldn't. Did I enjoy feeling like a pampered princess? Yes I did.

Elvive Dream Lengths Conditioner

Okay, okay- I can already hear the backlash. Apparently L'Oreal causes hair loss and I should lock my stockpile of conditioners away and never look at them again. But the thing is, I really like this conditioner! As somebody who has very long hair, I go through a lot of it, and at £2 a bottle, this really has been my safety blanket. It smells amazing, makes my hair feel so soft, and I know it will always be in stock at my local Boots or Superdrug. For now, I'm going to stick with it. Perhaps when I can justify the Olaplex Number 5, I'll finally know what I'm missing out on.

Clinique Smart Night Moisturiser and Pep-Start Moisturiser

I'm going to talk about these two moisturisers together because they are very similar. The Pep-Start moisturiser felt light on the skin and was a good base for applying foundation. The night time one was a bit heavier-duty and was good for cold winter nights when my skin felt a little dry. Again, these were
mini-sizes courtesy of my sister. I've just googled the full size and cried a little.

Have you tried any of these products? What did you think of them?

Marti
