Hotel Chocolat Chocolate Chip Biscuits


It was dad's birthday on Friday, and he got loads of nice chocolate. I used some to make these chocolate chip biscuits, which I thought I would share the recipe for! 

Ingredients 
  • 100g/4oz chocolate 
  • 100g/4oz sugar
  • 100g/4oz butter
  • 2tbs golden syrup 
  • 225g/8oz flour
  • 1tsp vanilla extract
Method
  1. Pre-heat oven to gas mark 6
  2. Line two baking trays with grease-proof paper
  3. Break chocolate down into small chunks
  4. Cream together butter and sugar, add syrup 
  5. Stir in flour
  6. Fold in chocolate pieces
  7. Roll into small rounded balls
  8. Place evenly apart on the baking trays
  9. Cook for ten minutes
  10. Flatten the cookie dough and swap trays over
  11. Bake for further 15 mins or until golden 
  12. Cool on a wire rack
  13. Serve with an iced coffee for ultimate lockdown goodness
