"There will come soft rains"
One of my favourite poems is 'There will come soft rains' by Sara Teasdale. Despite this poem having been written around the time of World War One, this poem feels so current and relevant to our current climate.
Even despite all the restrictions placed on the movement of people, nature remains as it was. In fact, the restrictions placed on humans has meant that nature has had more of a chance to flourish and grow. We're travelling less, meaning less Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere, which means a clearer sky at night.
Does nature know that we are facing a pandemic? If this marked the end of mankind, would nature be any different?
Some things to think about.
